Psalm 117 Getting in Touch With Reality

Psalm 117:1

Praise the LORD……..

Do you ever wonder……

Why God would care if we praised Him or not?

We all know people who seem to need to be praised-

Indeed………

I think maybe we all enjoy being praised.

Yes,

Maybe, we all need a bit of appreciation…….

For our contributions and accomplishments…….

In our relationships………

Even for who we are.

And yet with God I can’t help but think………

It’s different.

I can’t help but think…..

Our praises are not so much for His sake…..

Not so much to prop up His self-esteem,

But instead…..

For our own sake.

Praising our Heavenly Father….

Puts us in touch with reality-

Identifies us with His character-

Humbles us-

Brings His Power to bear on our lives.

May all our lives be a continual praise to Him.

Join me……

Praise be to my God

Creator and sustainer of all that was and is and ever will be.

Praise be to the LORD

Who is Good, Just, Merciful and Full of Grace.

Praise be to our  Father

Who gives us Life and Health and Strength.

Praise be to our Father

Who is at work in all things  for the good of us who love Him.

Praise be to our Father

Who is working all things together for His Good Purpose.

Praise be to my Father

Who has brought me into sonship.

Praise be to Christ

Who lives in me........ to work through me.

Praise be to the Holy Spirit

My counselor. comforter, strength and guide.

Praise be to God……..
