Psalm 113 The Good Life

Psalm 113: 7a

The LORD raises the poor from the dust,

And lifts the needy from the ash heap………

Poor and needy.

There used to be this television show,

Maybe some of you have heard of it-

It highlighted the lifestyles of the wealthiest,

The most extravagant people on earth.

“Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”

With Robin…….. somebody or other.

Cruises, Resorts, Palaces…..

Champagne and Caviar…….

Lush Mediterranean Beaches…….

People watched………

People dreamed………

People longed……….

We longed after the good life.

I think……… maybe deep down,

We all long for the good life.

I think…… maybe deep down,

We all long………

For Heaven.

Guys,

There is this thing…..

This thing called……

The Gospel!

It’s coming……

This Good Life,

It’s close…….

Maybe even in some ways…..

It’s here.

“Christ in you, the hope of glory”

Psalm 113: 7b

He seats them with princes,

With the princes of His people.

Thank You Lord Jesus for raising us up……  from the dust,

Thank You Almighty God for lifting us……. from the ash heap.

Thank You Holy Spirit for bringing us the Life of Jesus to live…

So that He might live in us and through us

And so we might have the Good Life………

Your Life.
