Psalm 105:4

Look to the Lord and His Strength;

Seek His Face always.

What are you looking to……

To make your way in this world?

Where are you seeking…….

Life?

I have wasted so much time on lesser things-

Things that look good-

Things that promise the life I long for-

Even some pretty good things,

Yet even the good things are……….

Lesser things.

Then there’s Jesus.

The very thought……….

That the Life of Christ could be in me-

That He could live through me-

That I could participate in the heart of God……

In this world…….To this world………

There are no words.

1 Corinthians 2:9

No eye has seen, no ear has heard,

No mind has conceived,

What God has prepared

For those who love Him.

Thank You Father.

Psalm 104 He has sent His Spirit

Psalm 104:30

When You send Your Spirit,

They are created………

He has.

And so,

I have been………

Born Again-

Recreated into………..

Life.

His Life!

Amazing,

 Flesh gives birth to flesh,

But the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

Thank You for Your Breath upon me-

Psalm 103:1 and 5

Praise the LORD

O’ my soul……..

He who satisfies your desires with

good things.

What do you want?

In the depths of your soul fellas,

What do you……..

Desire?

I think I spend a lot of energy fighting-

Fighting the very desires God has placed in me.

I think I might be afraid…….

Afraid of where they might lead me.

Oh, I know…..

I know so many of my desires have been……

Corrupted.

I have been down that trail too many times.

But let’s look past that for a moment-

Past the corruption,

And maybe……

Go deeper.

Christian-

You who have brought from death to Life-

You who have been made new by the Life of Christ-

Can we go deeper?

Can we go down into the new heart?

The good heart God has brought to life in us?

Maybe from there-

From the new man-

We can………

Embrace our desires.

Maybe from there we can turn to the One-

The One who satisfies our desires…………

With Good Things.

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself in the LORD

And

He will give you

The desires of your heart.

Father, O’ Father,

Thank You for the promise that You

Will satisfy my desires……….

With good things.

Rise up in me to courageously embrace the desires

You have given me,

And so be drawn to You

For satisfaction.

Psalm 102 The Christian Life is..........Odd

Psalm 102:17

The Lord will respond to the

Prayer of the destitute……..

Are you……..

Destitute

Impoverished

At the end of your own abilities?

Have I come to a place……….

A place where my own cleverness-

A place where my own solutions-

A place where my own strength.........

Just won’t be enough?

Yes……..

Good!

Now Father can respond-

Now there will be no mistaking……

No mistaking of His work for my abilities.

This Christian Life is strange…….

Odd……

Even upside-down.

It seems.......

To become powerful......

Powerful beyond imagination-

To be able to draw on the resources of our Father-

The resources of the Great King-

Yes to become all that He made me to be-

I must first become……..

Destitute.

2 Corinthians 12

⁹ But He said to me,

 “My grace is sufficient for you,

For my power is made perfect in weakness.”……..

 For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Psalm 101:7

The LORD Speaking;

“No one who practices deceit will enter My house”

Truth

Reality-

What is so.

This is the way………

To Life.

Choosing Truth.

This is the way we are to enter God’s Life-

To share in God’s Life.

So then ……

What is True?

What is it we are to practice?

How about these for a start…….

God Is.

God is Good-

All His Works are Good-

God is Great-

He is able to bring to pass all His Good Purposes.

God Loves me-

He desires to have me to share in His Life.

Because I love Jesus ……..

Because I have entrusted my life to Him……

I have been……….

United to Him-

Placed in Him-

And as mysterious as it sounds…..

He lives in me.

So what about the man who practices Truth…..

The one who Lives from Truth-

What is to become of Him?

John 8:32

You will know the Truth

 and the Truth will set you free.

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit

Thank You that You are in us………

To continually turn our hearts toward Truth……..

To continually turn our hearts toward You.

Maybe it’s……

Hitting that last big rapid.......

How about plummeting downhill fast on a …………

Or what about, maybe…...

Catching that perfect wave?

Could it be you see yourself……..

Dancing?

How about the vision of…….

Offering a smile and……….

Having it reflected back.

Joy……..

What rises up in you?

Maybe it’s the sense of……

Being a part…….

A part of Father bringing men to life.

Ah……..Yes

Participating in………

Being a part of………

The very Life of Christ.

Is it reserved for only a special few?

Fellowship with the Living God-

Walking with The Father-

Hearing from Him…….

Can I have these things?

Are they available……….

To me?

Come near to God and He will come near to you….

But he who unites himself with The LORD

Is one with Him in Spirit.

Let those who love The LORD

Hate evil.

Hate…….

A Passionate Anger-

A Determination to Cast Down-

A Burning  Desire to Come Against………….

Evil…….

A thief-

Who comes to steal Hope.

A murderer-

Who comes to kill Life.

An enemy-

Who comes to destroy Love.

“By His Wounds we are Healed”

“By Faith in the Son who Gave Himself for me”

“By Grace you have been Saved”

A Passionate Joy-

A Determination to Lift Up-

A Burning Desire to Fight for………….

The One True God

Visibly expressed through

The very Life of Christ.

Tangibly made known even today through

The very Life of His Spirit………

In us.

And then……….

There are lesser things.

There is God

Life Giving Creator-

Lover of your soul-

The One Who is making all things right-

Merciful, Forgiving and Just-

The Author of the Great Story-

King, LORD and Father……..

And then……….

There are lesser things.

Choose

Father-

I choose Life.

Jesus-

Psalm 95 Stand TALL

Psalm 95:8-9

Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah-

As you did that day at Massah in the desert.

Where your fathers tested and tried Me

 even though they had seen what I did.

The Israelites had seen the Power of God-

They had seen the Salvation of God-

They had seen the Goodness of God-

They had seen……..

The Love of God.

Yet still-

As times grew hard-

They……….

Mistrusted Him.

Their Hearts became hard toward Him.

I have seen all these things as well-

His Power-

His Salvation-

His Goodness-

And yes……..

His Great Love.

So then I suppose…….

Now it’s my move.

The call of the day-

Trust

Act

Love

Live

Stand TALL today guys-

Stand TALL.

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit

A deep trust in You today.

Oh in a sense we are all His-

After all-

He created us-

He is Master and Ruler over all creation-

You know……….

“Every knee shall bow……..”

But that’s not what I mean-

No, no…… that’s not what I mean at all.

His-

By reason of birth-

Children of the Great King-

His.

With all the authority and privileges-

With all the power and responsibility-

With all the abundance and Life-

That flow out of being………

His.

So- I ask again………

Are you……..

His?

Yes-

Really…….. Yes?

His Spiritual DNA in you-

Bringing you to Life-

Pouring out through you-

To change your world-

Yes-Yes- Yes-

A thousand times Yes!

Okay then-

Let’s go baby!

Father…….

Abba Father-

I pray all the Life and Love and Power and Goodness

That are You

Flow out through me today.

I give myself over to You Father-

To live fully from You today-

Knowing that I am Yours and

You will never abandon Your Child.
