God is Good……

All that He does is for our good.

God is Great…..

He is able to accomplish all His Good Purposes.

God Loves us……

He is most interested in you…….. for you.

He has demonstrated His Love for you in Christ.

Do you believe these things?

Really……….. Deep in your heart?

When life gets hard guys……

These are the Truths we stand on.

When the enemy comes with his lies……

These are the Truths we stand on.

Stand firm……..

And so……… Live!

Praise, Honor and Glory be to You Father….

For Your Goodness

For Your Power and

For Your Love.

Psalm 120 Lies or The Truth....... Now Choose

Psalm 120:2

Save me O’ LORD from lying lips,

And from deceitful tongues.

He has answered this prayer.

The question is…….

Have I taken hold of His Salvation.

The lying lips……

The deceitful tongue…….

The voices I hear most often are those inside me……

That are not me.

“You’re such a pathetic little boy”

“You will never have what you really want”

“You had better not try that- People will laugh at you”

“Be careful- You can’t let them see you fail”

“You’re just a hopeless sinner”

“God doesn’t really care about you”

Guys……..These are just the tip of the Ice burg.

There is only one way to answer the lies…….

Speak Truth.

Truth……My Father has given me a Spirit of Power.

2 Timothy 1:7

Truth……Even though I may sin- I am not a sinner- I am a new creation in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Truth……God Loves me and has made me His son.

1 John 3:1

Truth…..Father will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I can bear.

2 Corinthians 10:13

Truth……I can handle anything through Christ Who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:13

Truth…..It is no longer I who live, but Christ Who lives in me, to live through me.

Galatians 2:20

Truth…….He is at work in all things for my good.

Romans 8:28

Truth……….

Christ Himself……

Who died so that I can be forgiven……..

Who in His Resurrection has defeated sin and death and all evil……

Who by The Holy Spirit inhabits my very body……..

Who has prepared a place for me in His Kingdom……

Who will make all things New and Right and Good…….

Christ Himself is ………

Truth.

Truth or Lies……. What will you listen to?

What will you live from?

He has saved us from the lies…….

Now go and Live in the Power of…..

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,

Thank You for answering the Psalmist prayer.

Thank You for saving us from the lies.

Lord,

Today… This very hour…….I will live…….

I will live from….

Truth.

Their gods are made……. by the hands of men….

These gods have eyes, but cannot see……

They have ears, but cannot hear…..

They have mouths, but cannot speak……

Those who make these gods, and trust in them,

Will be like them.

What have we put our trust in?

What have we fashioned for ourselves,

In our attempts to find Life?

What lesser things have I looked to…..

Believing……….

Somehow……….

Some way……

If I can just have this one thing…….

So many lesser gods…..

So much trusting in my own abilities;

Abilities to manipulate and maneuver……

To get…….

What?

If it is nothing else, this Christian Life…….

It is a commitment;

A commitment to…..

Reality……..

Truth………

Even………

Sanity.

Truth-

There is but One God….

Creator of all that was, or is, or ever will be…..

Powerful beyond imagination,

Good beyond description,

Loving beyond comprehension.

Oh, Christian,

Oh, Charles,

Have done with lesser gods,

Have done with lesser things.

Look to Jesus………

And Live…..

Live from Christ in you…..

And so truly…….

Live!

Psalm 115:17-18

It is not the dead who praise the LORD…….

It is we who extol Him;

Both now and forever more.

Psalm 101:7

The LORD Speaking;

“No one who practices deceit will enter My house”

Truth

Reality-

What is so.

This is the way………

To Life.

Choosing Truth.

This is the way we are to enter God’s Life-

To share in God’s Life.

So then ……

What is True?

What is it we are to practice?

How about these for a start…….

God Is.

God is Good-

All His Works are Good-

God is Great-

He is able to bring to pass all His Good Purposes.

God Loves me-

He desires to have me to share in His Life.

Because I love Jesus ……..

Because I have entrusted my life to Him……

I have been……….

United to Him-

Placed in Him-

And as mysterious as it sounds…..

He lives in me.

So what about the man who practices Truth…..

The one who Lives from Truth-

What is to become of Him?

John 8:32

You will know the Truth

 and the Truth will set you free.

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit

Thank You that You are in us………

To continually turn our hearts toward Truth……..

To continually turn our hearts toward You.

Psalm 80 A Prayer that has been Answered!

Psalm 80: 3, 7 and 19

Restore us, O’ God Almighty

Make Your Face shine upon us,

That we may be saved.

It’s funny-

Strange even-

As I read through the Psalms-

I am coming to believe that things are somehow………..

Different now.

God has answered the Psalmist’s prayer………..

Right?

Christ has………

Come.

Christ is ……………

The very face of God shining upon us.

As I receive Him-

As I surrender to Him-

As I give my life over to Him-

I am………..

Saved.

I am……….

Made New.

I am……….

Restored.

This is the power of………..

The Rising.

Father,

Thank You for answering the plea of the Psalmist…….

In Christ.

We know also that the Son of God has come……

So that we may know Him who is true.

And we are in Him who is true by being in His Son Jesus Christ.

He is the true God and Eternal Life.

Psalm 74 The Power of Truth

Psalm 74: 1 and 22

Why have You rejected us forever O’ God?........

Rise up O’ God and defend Your cause………….

Has God forgotten me?

Has He rejected me?

Has He left me in the midst of pain to…………

Fend for myself?

It might feel that way when…………

He doesn’t cooperate with my plans.

I have to be careful about feelings-

Oh, don’t get me wrong now…….

I am not saying deny them-

I am not saying pretend like they don’t matter-

More like-

Stand up to the feelings……..

With Truth.

It’s what I see David doing in the rest of Psalm 74

Oh, by the way-

David’s plea for God to rise up-

To defend His cause……….

There’s this guy named Jesus………

Luke 24:5-6

Why do you look for the living among the dead?

He is not here-

He has risen!

Holy Spirit

Please continually raise up the standard of Truth in me-

The Truth of God’s Love for me-

The Truth of God’s Goodness-

The Truth of Father’s Power to……….

Bring me to Life.
