Give thanks to The LORD, for He is Good.

His Love endures forever

Give thanks to the Lord of Lords;

To Him alone who does great wonders.

Give thanks to The One Who remembered us in our low estate

And freed us from our enemies.

His Love endures forever.

The bedrocks of our Faith

God is Good……

All that He does is for our good.

God is Great…..

He is able to accomplish all His Good Purposes.

God Loves us……

He is most interested in you…….. for you.

He has demonstrated His Love for you in Christ.

Do you believe these things?

Really……….. Deep in your heart?

When life gets hard guys……

These are the Truths we stand on.

When the enemy comes with his lies……

These are the Truths we stand on.

Stand firm……..

And so……… Live!

Praise, Honor and Glory be to You Father….

For Your Goodness

For Your Power and

For Your Love.

Psalm 135 Fools Gold

Psalm 135:15-18

The idols of the nations are silver and gold,

made by the hands of men.

They have mouths but cannot speak,

Eyes but cannot see,

Nor is there breath in their mouths.

Those who make them will be like them,

And so will all who trust in them.

Idols…..

Anything we look to for Life….

Apart from The True Life Giver.

There is no breath in their mouths.

And so shall it be……..

For any who trust in these lesser things.

We will never find the life we long for……

In these lesser things.

Guys,

Please do not misunderstand……

I am not saying it is wrong to enjoy the gifts.

I am not even saying it is wrong to desire things.

Ah,

But to look to these things……..

These experiences……

Even other relationships…..

For Life……

For Real Life…

It’s fool’s gold.

Jeremiah 2:13

My people have committed two sins:

They have forsaken Me, The Spring of Living Water

And

Have dug their own cisterns,

Broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

Let’s turn to The Spring of Living Water….       

          

Great Father, Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus,

Show us where we have settled for lesser things….

Show us where we have believed the lies.

Open our eyes to see….

Real Life…

Your Life.

Breathe Your Breath of Life into our mouths and so….

Revive us.

We ask all this in the

Most Powerful Name of Jesus,

Our Savior and our King.

Psalm 134:1

Praise The LORD,

All you servants of The LORD who minister by night……..

Do you ever feel you are ministering…..

By night?

Maybe no one is noticing…….

Maybe you feel forgotten…….

Maybe you wonder if your part really matters.

Well……..

Maybe it’s time we look at some Truth together……..

1 Corinthians 12:5-6

⁵ There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

⁶ There are different kinds of working,

but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

Really……

You mean the same God who worked through…….

Billy Graham……

Mother Teresa……..

The Apostle Paul….

John the Baptist …….

Moses…..

Stephen the Martyr…..

Yes…..

The same God

Who worked through all these and more…….

These giants of our Faith…….

This same God…….

Is at work through you and I as we……

Encourage our brothers and sisters…….

Offer friendship to folks sitting alone…….

Do the dishes for our tired mothers or wives…….

Visit our elderly neighbors…..

Stand up for the oppressed…….

Amazing!

Oh, and then there’s the promise…….

Matthew 25:23

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!

You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.

 Come and share your Master’s happiness!’

Father in Heaven,
Thank You that You allow us to share in Your happiness.

Thank You that the same Life and Power that

Flowed through those heroes of our Faith has been given to us.

Open our eyes to see more and more the ways we can

Participate in what You are doing and so

Have Your Life flow through us to this world.

How good and pleasant it is when

Brothers live together in unity………

For there The LORD bestows His Blessing;

Even Life evermore.

Brotherhood….

Brothers standing together……..

Unified…..

What images come to mind?

Maybe it’s warriors going to battle………

Maybe memories of being with teammates…..

Maybe it’s just you and some close friends out enjoying…….

Maybe it’s the memory of working with someone to…….

Fellas…..

Could it be that we are wired for brotherhood …….

Maybe even wired to live out the Life of Christ……..

As the Body of Christ…….

As brothers?

Brotherhood…..

Could it be  one of the ways Father bestows His Blessing……

His blessing of abundant life……. to men?

So what about it fellas…..

Are you living in brotherhood?

Are you living in vital community with some other guys….

Bringing the Life of Christ to bear on your own daily lives..…..

Together?

We need this fellas…….

I need this.

Father,

Thank You for making me one of many.

Thank You for the brothers You use to sharpen me.

Holy Spirit,

Open my heart and mind to know Your Voice

Through my brothers.

Lord Jesus,

Thank You that You were the firstborn

Among many brothers.

Psalm 132 God's Dwelling Place- In You!

Psalm 132:4

I will allow no sleep to my eyes,

No slumber to my eyelids,

Till I find a place for The LORD;

A dwelling for The Mighty One of Jacob.

The Psalmist seems haunted……

Compelled……

Even obsessed……

Obsessed with finding a place for God.

Somehow it feels like all of my life……

Yes….

All of my longings and desires……

All of my hopes and dreams….

Yes…………

All of my very life……..

Somehow has been a journey……..

A journey along the path of this same obsession.

What about you….

Do you have a place for God?

You do know there can be no peace….. Right?

No peace…. no rest……. no slumber for our souls…….

Until……

Until our Creator…….

The One who brought us to life……

The One who breathed life into our very spirits…..

Has His rightful place……

His rightful place in our lives.

No peace………

Until Christ Himself becomes……

Our Life.

Colossians 1:27

……the glorious riches of this mystery,

Which is Christ in you,

The hope of glory.

Father, Lord Jesus, Spirit of The Living God,

Thank You.

Thank You that more and more

 I am coming to realize You …….

You, right here in me.

Thank You that My Life has become a dwelling place

For The Mighty One of Jacob.

Thank You for the Life in that.
