Psalm 129:2
They have greatly oppressed me
from my youth,
But they have not gained the
victory over me.
People are not your
enemies.
They may oppose you-
They may attack you-
They may hurt you-
But, let me say it again……
People are not your
enemies!
Jesus knew this as He
prayed…….
Luke 23:34
Father,
Forgive them,
They know not what they do.
O’ Christians…… O’ Friends…….
Can we not turn our anger toward our real enemy…..
The one who has deceived our oppressors into being….
Well………being the kind of people who oppress.
Can we not begin to pray for the people who have hurt us…….
Pray that they would see through his deceptions……..
See through his lies……..
And so turn to the Truth.
Can we not begin to stand up to our attackers..…….
Stand up in such a way they see the life of Christ……….
Yes……..they see the very Life of Christ in us……
And so in the standing up………
Do major damage…..
Major damage to our real enemy.
Of course we can.
Of course we can do
these things.
The scriptures say we
can………
So yes………
We can!
2 Peter 1:3
He has given us everything we
need for Life and godliness…
2 Timothy 1:7
He has given us a Spirit of Power
and Love and a Sound Mind….
2 Corinthians 5:17
He has made us new creations in
Christ…..
And on and on and on ……….
Father
Move in us to be mighty warriors
against our real enemy…..
Today.
