Psalm 127 My Vision or His Revelation?

Psalm 127:1

Unless The LORD builds the house,

It’s builders labor in vain…………

What are you building?

Actually a better question may be…….

Where is God in the labor?

Is He central?

Does your labor flow out of……..

His Revelation…….

His Power………

His Life………

In you?

Or………..

Do we simply build away……….

Toiling over our own visions of grandeur?

Maybe, at best…….

Asking for His blessing on the work?

I have spent a great deal of energy

In my 51 years on planet earth……..

Toiling……

Building……..

Laboring……….

Too many times……….

In vain.

No more.

Come Lord Jesus,

Build what You will build,

Do what you will do……

Through me.

Psalm 126 Yes He has........

Psalm 126:3

The Lord has done great things for us

And we are filled with Joy.

He has, you know……..

Done great things for us that is.

Think about it…..

I was once lost and lifeless.

Now I have been saved and brought to life.

I was once an object of His Wrath.

Now I am one of His beloved children.

I was once weak and fearful.

Now I have been given the Spirit of Power.

I was once in bondage to all kinds of sin and selfishness.

Now I have been freed to Live and Love.

I was once hopeless and alone.

He has given me hope, purpose and a future.

There was a time when death was the end.

Now death itself is just a stage along the way of Life.

I once was………but He has……..

Oh my brothers and sisters,

Take a minute…… or two……. or ten……..

Or maybe even a lifetime…….

And dwell in the great things He has done for you......

And so…..

Be filled with His Joy!

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,

Help me today to take hold of…to grasp……

To grasp all the fullness of the Gospel.

Help me to know all that it means that I am Yours,

And so be filled with Your Joy.

Psalm 125 We Rule!

Psalm 125:3

The scepter of wickedness will not remain

Over the land allotted to the righteous,

For then the righteous might use their hands to do evil.

Did you know…..

You have a “land”.

Do you realize……

You have a kingdom.

You and I………

We have influence over……

We have dominion over……

We have rule over……..

We are charged to protect and nurture…..

Whatever The Great King has allotted.

Oh, and never forget……

This land,  this kingdom of ours…….

Whatever it is……….

It is a gift………..

From The Great King.

It is a gift to be governed in………

Righteousness.

He will not allow the scepter of wickedness to remain.

Rule well young kings and queens

Let the very Love and Power and Truth……

Of The Great King…….

Flow through you…….

Out into all your allotted land…….

And so ………

Partake in the Wonders……..

Partake in the Glorious, Incredible Wonders……..

Of our Great King.

Let us rule well young servants.

O’ Great King,

Thank You for our allotment,

Thank You for the 5  or 10 talents You have gifted to us.

Please continually rise up in us for

Wisdom and Courage and Love

To rule well.

Psalm 124 Do You Really Believe God is on Your Side?

Psalm 124:1

If The LORD had not been on our side……

God is for us……

The Holy Spirit is with us…….

Christ is our……..

Friend,

Life,

Advocate,

Savior,

Hope,

Ever Present Help and….

Strength.

Our real enemy wants us to question these Truths.

Our real enemy sows mistrust.

Our real enemy would…….

Destroy us.

Guys,

When life is tough……

When you feel mistreated…..

When you have been betrayed…….

Please know……..

These things are not from your Heavenly Father.

And so, in the trials of life…….

You and I…….

We have a choice.

We can

Believe the lies….

Blame The One Who Loves us…

Bury ourselves in bitterness against His people and so…..

Barely exist in the misery our real enemy  means for us…..

Or……….

We can

Take hold of the Truth of our Good Father….

Trust in the leading of His Holy Spirit…..

Turn to our Savior and Friend Jesus…… and so…..

Thrive in the Abundant Life of Christ in us.

We have a choice……

Choose well.

Father, Lord Jesus, Spirit of the Living God,

Thank You for being for us.

Thank You for being on our side.

Amen

Psalm 123 Lift Your Eyes

Psalm 123:1

I lift up my eyes to You,

To You Whose Throne is in Heaven.

Where do you look for hope?

When everything around is coming unglued….

Where do you look for Life?

Can we join the Psalmist and look up?

Looking up recognizes that Life…..

Real, True, Purposeful, Deep and Abundant Life……

Yes, all that I long for……..

Comes from One who is above me.

And yet, it doesn’t stop there.

The beauty of our Faith is this One who is above me……

Would come to live for me…….

Would come to live with me…….

Would come to live in me……….

Would even come to live…….. through me.

Yes, this God……

Whose Throne……

Whose Seat of Power…….

is in Heaven itself…….

This God I must humbly lift my eyes to for mercy……

Lives in us to Live through us.

To Him be All the Glory!
